1. Information collected
WiFi Therapist may collect information that you choose to provide, including your name, email address, optional phone number, ZIP code, optional property address, appointment details, service interests, messages, consultation notes, and information shown during a remote or onsite service.
The website and communications ask customers not to submit Wi-Fi passwords, router-administrator passwords, provider passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive credentials through a form or ordinary email.
Technical information may also be collected automatically by website hosting, security, scheduling, payment, or analytics providers. This can include IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referral source, and approximate location derived from an IP address.
2. How information is used
- Respond to questions and customer messages.
- Route visitors to remote, standard onsite, or extended-coverage options.
- Schedule, prepare for, deliver, document, and follow up on consultations or projects.
- Create consultation reviews, treatment plans, proposals, quotes, service records, and customer communications.
- Process payments and prevent fraud through third-party payment services.
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and booking experience.
- Comply with legal, accounting, tax, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations.
3. Service providers
WiFi Therapist may use service providers for website hosting, form delivery, scheduling, video meetings, AI-assisted transcription, payment processing, email delivery, secure document delivery, file storage, analytics, and customer records. These providers receive information only as needed to perform their services and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Payment-card information is entered directly into the payment provider's secure interface. WiFi Therapist does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers on its website.
4. Remote sessions, transcription, and screenshots
An AI transcription tool may be used during a remote consultation to assist with accurate notes and preparation of customer documentation. The remote session is not video recorded. AI-generated text is reviewed before it is used in a consultation review, treatment plan, quote, or service record.
WiFi Therapist may request permission to take a screenshot when it is useful to document equipment, physical setup, a settings page, or an error message. Screenshots are limited to information reasonably related to the service. Customers should close unrelated applications and notifications and keep passwords, private messages, account numbers, and other unrelated information off screen.
At the beginning of a session, WiFi Therapist may confirm the customer's name and the address of the property being discussed so documentation is connected to the correct service location.
5. Email and document delivery
Ordinary email subjects and bodies are intentionally kept general when possible. Detailed consultation reviews, treatment plans, quotes, and service records may be delivered through secure, access-controlled, or expiring links rather than being placed directly in an email or ordinary attachment.
Customers should not forward secure links, should close documents when using shared devices, and should notify WiFi Therapist if a link may have been accessed by someone else. No email or delivery method can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Cookies, local storage, and tracking
The website may use essential cookies or browser storage to preserve form progress, maintain security, remember preferences, and complete booking or contact workflows. Browser storage may be used to preserve form progress and complete booking or contact workflows.
WiFi Therapist does not currently use cross-site behavioral advertising. The site is not designed to respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, the live website will honor that requirement. If advertising or additional analytics tools are added, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before they are enabled.
7. Selling or sharing personal information
WiFi Therapist does not sell personal information. It does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers, professional advisers, insurers, payment processors, or government authorities when reasonably necessary to operate the business, protect rights and safety, complete a transaction, or comply with law.
8. Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, customer follow-up, business records, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and security. Retention periods vary by record type. Working transcripts, screenshots, and draft notes should not be retained longer than reasonably necessary for documentation and service follow-up.
WiFi Therapist uses healthcare-inspired privacy practices, including minimum-necessary collection, restricted access, careful email content, human review of AI-assisted notes, and secure document delivery when available. This is an operating standard and not a representation that ordinary home-technology information is legally protected health information or that every communication or vendor is HIPAA compliant.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Visitors should avoid submitting sensitive credentials and should use secure channels provided by the selected payment, scheduling, and document-delivery services.
9. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information that WiFi Therapist maintains about you, subject to identity verification and any legal or operational reason the information must be retained. Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, additional rights may apply.
Use the Contact form, select “General Question,” and state that the message concerns privacy. WiFi Therapist will not discriminate against a customer for making a good-faith privacy request.
10. Children
The website and services are intended for adults arranging home technology services. WiFi Therapist does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should use the Contact form so the information can be reviewed and, when appropriate, deleted.
11. External links
The website may link to scheduling, payment, video meeting, equipment manufacturer, internet provider, secure document, or other third-party sites. WiFi Therapist is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those third parties.
12. Policy changes
This policy may be updated when services, technology, vendors, or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the website or another reasonable method when required.
13. Contact
Submit privacy questions through the Contact form and choose “General Question.” This allows the business to respond without publishing a personal inbox address.
